By bikers for bikers
Gear Up began in 2011 as a magazine for motorcyclists in South and West Wales, made by people who ride.
It came in two forms. G-Up was the monthly electronic magazine, three issues from July to September 2011, packed with news, rider profiles, galleries and ride-outs. Gear Up was the free quarterly print magazine. The launch issue went out to more than 450 outlets across the region, and all 10,000 copies were picked up.

The 2011 team was Jonathan (Barry Island on the old forum), publisher and tester; Mark Roberts, design and art direction; Shaun Pope, testing and words; Mark Johnson, photography; Paul Sessions, design and editing; Richard Bennewith, website and forum; and Michael Higgins, digital.
Gear Up is now published by Good Life Publishing, the Vale of Glamorgan publisher behind Vale Life, City Life Cardiff and Travel Life. The idea has not changed. Tell us about yourself, your bike and what biking means to you.
Ride safe.
